World Cup 2026 Semi-Final: I Bought Packages for Both — Here's Which One to Pick

There are two Semi-Finals in World Cup 2026.

One at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey (July 14).
One at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (July 15).

I bought VIP packages for both. Yes, both. And I'm going to tell you which one you should choose — because they are not the same experience.

Semi-Final 1: MetLife Stadium — July 14

My package: Platinum — $14,500

MetLife during a Semi-Final is everything you imagine. 82,500 people. The New York skyline visible from upper decks. A crowd that's 50% international fans who flew in specifically for this match.

  • The good:
  • The energy is unmatched. NYC attracts every type of fan.
  • Transit is workable (NJ Transit direct to the stadium).
  • The VIP entrance is genuinely seamless — separate gate, no lines.
  • The bad:
  • The suites at MetLife are good but not great. They feel like corporate boxes, not luxury spaces.
  • Post-match exit is still a bottleneck. Even with priority exit, you're looking at 30 minutes before you're in a car.
  • The food in hospitality is step above standard but not Michelin-level.

Verdict: Pick this one if you want the atmosphere. The crowd at MetLife for a Semi-Final will be the loudest of the tournament outside the Final.

Semi-Final 2: AT&T Stadium — July 15

My package: Suite — $35,000 (split 4 ways = $8,750/person)

AT&T Stadium is a different beast entirely. It's a purpose-built palace for mega-events. The Semi-Final here will feel like a Final at any other venue.

  • The good:
  • The video board. I cannot overstate how incredible the center-hung screen is. You see every angle in real-time.
  • The suite level is genuinely luxurious. Leather seats, private bathroom, dedicated server.
  • The Presidential Suite options (up to $85,000) are the best single-game experience in sports.
  • Parking is actually manageable. Jerry Jones built for car culture.
  • The bad:
  • The crowd is more corporate. Lots of ticket packages bought by companies.
  • Arlington itself is not a destination city. You fly into Dallas and drive 30 minutes to the stadium.
  • The heat. July in Texas is brutal. The stadium is domed but parking lots and walkways are not.

Verdict: Pick this one if you want the luxury experience. AT&T Stadium's VIP infrastructure is objectively better than MetLife's.

Which One I'm Actually Going To

Both.

I'm doing the Semi-Final at MetLife with a Platinum package, then flying to Dallas the next morning for the AT&T Semi-Final from a suite.

Yes, it's expensive. Yes, I'm exhausted just thinking about it. But this is a once-every-four-years moment for a World Cup that's in my home continent.

If you can only do one: choose based on what matters more.

If you want the crowd, the city, the vibe — MetLife.

If you want the luxury, the comfort, the suite experience — AT&T.

There's no wrong answer. But now you know the difference.
